Swap between four different modes using either the cruise control buttons or ECU Connect on your mobile device. Which mode you are in will be indicated on the rev counter. For example, you could get your tuner to set up a tune on mode 1 designed for track days – Track Mode; For enjoying yourself on the road in mode 2 – Fast Road Mode; Godzilla on mode 3 – Godzilla Mode; and a tune for driving your grandma around on mode 4 – Economy Mode. It’s up to you to decide what set-up you want in each mode.
Live Boost Adjustment
Once your tuner has set this up in the tune, you can use the cruise control or the ECU Connect app to adjust these parameters live. You can even display them on the Oil Temp gauge.
Adjustable Launch Control with BOTL
Live adjustment of the launch RPM using the cruise-control switchgear or the ECU Connect app. BOTL (Boost-off-the-line) enables you to set any boost pressure you want on launch! Use the ECU Connect app to adjust this live. It can be enabled in any map switch mode.
AdjustableSlip Based Traction Control
Aggressiveness can be adjusted in each of the 4 modes using the ECU Connect app on your phone, provided your tuner has set this up as a custom input to ECU Connect.
One-Touch AntiLag/Rolling Launch
Rolling Launch allows you to roll race at the touch of the button. To set, enter the map switch mode in which Your tuner has set up rolling Launch. Press and hold the cruise control set button to build boost, floor the accel pedal aaand…release the set button and enjoy! Your tuner can set up the system using activation time limits, temperature limits, and a minimum re-arm time to maintain reliability.
Per Gear and RPM-based Boost Control
Your tuner can set up gear and rpm dependant boost targets fully integrated with our FlexFuel strategy offering independent targets and boost limits for gasoline and ethanol. With high and low altitude base wastegate duty maps, atmospheric pressure compensation for boost target, wastegate duty and feedback activation, excellent boost control is possible no matter your turbo installation or operating conditions.
Speed Density Option
Run a speed density tune if you are running big twin or single turbo conversions or want to get rid of your MAF sensors to run bigger intakes.
12-Injector Support
Run 12 injectors with the factory ECU. Using an aftermarket injector driver box combined with a plug and play harness, this feature offers in-depth injector and fuel pump control to accurately phase the additional set of injectors. Your tuner can adjust boost in each gear and for a given accelerator position to get the maximum performance and traction in each gear.

Charge Air Fail-Safe
If the charge air goes above a specified threshold (the charge air cooler has not been bled properly, is too small for the modifications, or the ambient is very high), the fail-safe will reduce engine torque to protect the engine.

Gear Ratio Adjustment
When a taller Final Drive has been fitted, the factory Sync Rev feature will not work correctly. Our software allows the tuner to increase the gear ratio values relative to the Final Drive increment amount.
Live adjustments using Custom Gauge Hijack
Hijack the Oil Temp gauge and display boost, traction control aggressiveness, ignition timing, VTC or VVEL. Then adjust it live using the cruise control switches.
Fail Safes
Knock oil pressure; oil pressure; oil temp; AFR correction/fuel trims; AFR lean; fuel pressure; coolant pressure or a custom one of your choice.
There is also a knock warning feature that will flash the check engine light a few times if a knock event is detected.

The ProECU Programming Kit can be used by car enthusiasts, and owner clubs alike to both diagnose and program a wide variety of vehicles.They can only be purchased from any EcuTek Master Tuner.
There are two options. Both kits require a Laptop and a wired connection from there to the OBD II port. The ProECU USB kit, pictured above right, has the interface included in the cable and the ECU Connect + Dongle kit, pictured above left, has a separate cable included to connect the laptop with the ECU Connect Interface.
At its simplest, the programming kit can be used for diagnostics and data logging. However, its most impressive feature is to allow EcuTek Master Tuners to tune customer vehicles remotely. The Master Tuner supplies suitable ROM files to the vehicle owner, who can use it to program these ROM files into their own car. If any fine-tuning is required, the customer can data-log the car and send the logs to the Master Tuner for their scrutiny and advice. The kit will program and log all EcuTek Supported vehicles.
ProECU Minimum Hardware Requirements
Operating System – Windows 10 or 11 Recommended. Windows 7 and 8.1 are supported, however some features may not be available. Running the software inside a virtual machine (such as Parallels or VMware) is not supported.
Processor – 1 Gigahertz or faster 32-bit or 64-bit (x86 CPU’s only, ARM based processors are unsupported)
Memory – 1 Gigabyte or greater
Hard Drive Space – 250mb ON C: Drive for ProECU programming kit. 2gb for ProECU Tuning Suites
Display – 1024×768 minimum screen resolution
Ports – Two free USB ports are required to allow use of the EcuTek Vehicle Interface and the Licence Key

Free Software
With the Programming Kit, you get FREE software included. So if you are competent enough to know your way around tuning a car and own either a Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT-86/Scion FR-S or Mazda Miata MX-5 Gen 3 (NC), then you can use the software to tune your own car. If your car has not been tuned on EcuTek before, a Flash Fee of 225 Flashpoints will be required for the Subaru/Toyota/Scion and 155 Flashpoints for the MX-5 Miata. These can be purchased from the Master Tuner who supplied the kit. Their contact details should be inside the kit.
If you want to go further with the kit and bolt on a forced-induction kit to your car, you will need to upgrade the FREE software with the RaceROM pack. For the Subaru/Toyota/Scion, you will need RaceROM BRZ bolt-on, and for the MX-5 Miata, you will need the RaceROM MX-5 bolt-on. These are both available from the Master Tuner who supplied you with the kit.
Flashing your car with your Phone
The ProECU programming kit is available in both USB and ECU Connect wired versions. If you want to program your car from your phone over Bluetooth with no wires and no Laptop, you need PhoneFlash. Check out our PhoneFlash page to get yourself set up.
RaceROM Custom features are written into our tuning software to give you unique features that don’t come as standard. They need to be set up by an EcuTek tuner and you may be charged extra as they take time to configure.
Unfortunately, there are no RaceROM features for the Mazda DISI Platform but check out what you can do with our ECU Connect Appo below.
